Intelligent Fire Protection

When every
minute
counts

In the critical minutes before the fire service arrives, fire spreads far too freely. That's what we're here to change.

Scroll
Minute 00:00
The spark ignites
  • Candles, electrical fault, stove or other
  • Often entirely unnoticed
Slekk acts
Minute 01:00 – 03:00
The room fills with smoke
  • Smoke develops rapidly, often during the first minute
  • Visibility drops sharply within 2–3 minutes
  • Toxic gases (CO) become dangerous quickly
Minute 03:00 – 05:00
Flashover approaching
  • Temperature rises to 400–600°C at ceiling level
  • All combustible materials begin to pyrolyse
  • Very little margin remaining
Minute 04:00 – 08:00
Flashover
  • The entire room ignites simultaneously
  • Survival in the room is virtually impossible
  • Fire spreads rapidly to adjacent spaces
Minute 08:00 – 30:00
Fire service arrives
  • Urban area: ~8–12 minutes
  • Smaller town: ~10–20 minutes
  • Rural area: ~15–30+ minutes
Slekk acts within seconds – in the gap where nothing else does.
The Problem

The critical gap

Existing systems alert. They don't act. The critical gap, the minutes between alarm and intervention, is almost always lost time.

Fire

Connected fire alarms

Connected detectors alert early and ensure the fire service is contacted immediately. But during the critical first 8–30 minutes – before rescue services arrive – nothing happens.

Sprinklers – costly and blunt

Effective but expensive to install, generating large remediation costs when triggered unnecessarily. Not scalable for the wider market.

Ampoule-triggered extinguishers

Activated only once fire has spread enough to reach critical temperature right at the extinguisher. By then the fire already has a significant head start.

Our Focus

Intelligent systems for rapid
fire-suppression action

Slekk takes an approach that conservative sectors lack:
We digitise fire protection with a system that combines intelligence, speed and the right action at the right moment.

01 – Intelligence

Multiple paths to a secure decision

Intelligence can mean a combination of sensors that automatically confirm a fire, AI-assisted rapid validation or operators at an alarm centre who can act in a completely new way through remote control. The important thing is that the decision is made quickly and with high confidence.

02 – Action

Suppression is almost as important as extinguishing

The first thing firefighters often do when reaching a burning building is to push powder through the letterbox. Not to extinguish, but to suppress the spread and buy time. Slekk builds systems that do exactly that, even if no one is there, in the very first minutes.

03 – Platform

The right agent for the right situation

Powder is vastly underutilised as an alternative to water sprinklers. Through standard connections, the same system can be used with different agents – powder, gas, liquid – depending on environment and need. A platform, not a one-off solution.

Why Now

The technology is ready
The need is urgent

The combination of connected sensors, real-time communication and intelligent system design makes it possible to build a new generation of fire protection systems.

  • 1

Everything that can be digitised will be digitised.

  • 2

Connected sensors are available at scale and at cost-effective price points – the technology is here.

  • 3

In 2025, 150 million sensors for building automation will be installed globally. The rest of the building is being digitised. Fire safety is lagging behind.

Leadership

Founded by firefighters

"We have seen fire from the inside – not as statistics, but as reality. We know what happens in the minutes that pass before the fire service arrives. We know how fast it goes. We know how critical those minutes are, and what determines whether a building and lives are saved or not. That insight is the foundation of Slekk."

This insight is the foundation of Slekk – a company built on deep, operational understanding of fire safety combined with modern system design. With a team that combines experience from the fire service, product development and intellectual property, Christer is driving Slekk towards a new standard for autonomous fire protection.
