In the critical minutes before the fire service arrives, fire spreads far too freely. That's what we're here to change.
Existing systems alert. They don't act. The critical gap, the minutes between alarm and intervention, is almost always lost time.
Connected detectors alert early and ensure the fire service is contacted immediately. But during the critical first 8–30 minutes – before rescue services arrive – nothing happens.
Effective but expensive to install, generating large remediation costs when triggered unnecessarily. Not scalable for the wider market.
Activated only once fire has spread enough to reach critical temperature right at the extinguisher. By then the fire already has a significant head start.
Slekk takes an approach that conservative sectors lack:
We digitise fire protection with a system that combines intelligence, speed and the right action at the right moment.
Intelligence can mean a combination of sensors that automatically confirm a fire, AI-assisted rapid validation or operators at an alarm centre who can act in a completely new way through remote control. The important thing is that the decision is made quickly and with high confidence.
The first thing firefighters often do when reaching a burning building is to push powder through the letterbox. Not to extinguish, but to suppress the spread and buy time. Slekk builds systems that do exactly that, even if no one is there, in the very first minutes.
Powder is vastly underutilised as an alternative to water sprinklers. Through standard connections, the same system can be used with different agents – powder, gas, liquid – depending on environment and need. A platform, not a one-off solution.
The combination of connected sensors, real-time communication and intelligent system design makes it possible to build a new generation of fire protection systems.
Everything that can be digitised will be digitised.
Connected sensors are available at scale and at cost-effective price points – the technology is here.
In 2025, 150 million sensors for building automation will be installed globally. The rest of the building is being digitised. Fire safety is lagging behind.
"We have seen fire from the inside – not as statistics, but as reality. We know what happens in the minutes that pass before the fire service arrives. We know how fast it goes. We know how critical those minutes are, and what determines whether a building and lives are saved or not. That insight is the foundation of Slekk."
